Foreshore RockFest Committee
The Foreshore Rock Fest is lucky to have the following partners who are hosting some of the fantastic events.
Back in 2009 a group of like-minded people travelled over to Horsham for a Rock n Roll weekend. The theme was Happy Days. The group won the dress up prize and because most were from Rosebud, the Horsham Rockers referred to us as Rosebud Rockers, the seed was sown.
A committee was formed, Rosebud Rockers became incorporated and quickly became a successful club embracing all things Rock n Roll and the 50’s / 60’s culture.
Just for fun Rosebud Rockers has many social nights and weekends away to festivals around the state, as well as the regular bi monthly dances.
Monday night lessons are for beginners through to intermediate dancers who enjoy tuition, social dancing and the good old Rock n Roll music.
Rosebud Rockers is pleased to part of the Foreshore Rockfest.
In 2013 CJ Rockers was set up by Clint & Jenny Redfearn in Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula and they have been involved in Rock N Roll for over 10 years. They run classes for all ages and abilities including adult groups and special needs children,
teaching 4 and 6 step Rock' N' Roll as well as partner line dancing. CJ Rockers also run 50s & 60s Rock' N' Roll dances to raise money for local charities.
Rosebud Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber of Commerce, which represents the 320 businesses located along Point Nepean Road and adjoining side streets, including Rosebud Cinema, Rosebud Central and Rosebud Plaza, works to raise the profile of the town through marketing, promotional activities, visual upgrades and events. The objective is to attract visitation on a regular basis by local residents and increasing tourism.
Members are also offered access to professional development through training events, workshops and networking. The amalgamated growth of individual businesses will underpin the viability of the centre and enhance employment opportunities.
The projects are managed by an executive committee of local business owners, facilitated by a part time project coordinator and supported by Mornington Peninsula Shire.
Rosebud Rockfest is one such event and is proudly supported by the local traders who would like to welcome you to their town.
